TAIFOAM™ SBR / CR

Rubber materials are including natural rubber NR, Styrene-butadiene rubber SBR, Butadiene rubber BR, Thermal Plastic elastomer TPE, Nitrile-butadiene rubber NBR etc. Among these 5 categories, SBR is the most widely used rubber both in volume and in application. It has the properties of abrasive resistance, heat resistance, cold tolerance, degradation resistance, electric isolation, and good performance in sulfurization.

Though Polychloroprene is of highly unsaturated degree, it still possesses a rather high chemical stability and resists any kind of aging. This is because the negative electricity of chlorine on its two bounds carbon atom has appealed the electron layers reducing two bounds electronic density and thus decreasing the reactivity of two bounds. Then Chlorine itself loses activity and reactivity. Chlorine property depends on polymer’s microstructure. Its reprocessing capability subjects to particle volume of the polymer and its dispersion and branch chain and interlink volume and coverage; its chemical property relies on chlorine effect of carbon atom surface.

Within this range, it appears good physical property; a special formula can make it to reach 120°C if inconsistent intervals applied. It will not melt or soften even if above this limit, however, it is likely to be vulcanized or to lose it resilience.
